Gochees Pizza

Here's a local secret: Gochees, formerly known as Pizza Orgasmica, is a favorite lunch spot for Financial District office workers. Gochees' menu ranges from a classic white pizza with olive oil, buffalo mozzarella, ricotta, provolone and feta cheese, to the most creative combinations like Baja California: refried beans, Calabrian sausage, jalapenos, cheddar and cilantro. Note: they are closed on Sundays.

Pizzeria Delfina

The Mission District is known for Latin American food, but that doesn't mean you can't find great pizzas, too. When it started, Pizzeria Delfina was just an expansion of the owners' James Beard Award-winning restaurant, Delfina, next door. Now it has five locations! The original location on 18th Street in the Mission is still open around the clock—and with good reason. You will find mostly classic Neapolitan style pizzas here. We recommend the Squash Blossom Pie with zucchini, ricotta, mozzarella and agliato.
Little Star Pizza

San Francisco's most famous Chicago-style pizza also has its location in Mission. Little Star serves pan pizza, in addition to a solid menu of thin crust pizzas. Try the Little Star: mushrooms, onions and spinach tossed with ricotta and feta cheese. Be sure to ask for roasted garlic to be added! Follow that with a decadent slice of SF Cheesecake Company's Bourbon Vanilla Bean Cheesecake.

Formerly a mobile pizzeria, Del Popolo's upscale menu offers great options like zucchini and mozzarella pizza, salsa verde with roasted scallions and pecorino jagas, and an extensive wine list that includes organic, sulfite-free wines. Del Popolo also offers a to-die-for antipasti menu that changes depending on the fresh produce available. They also have gluten-free dough, for a small surcharge. What a treat!
North Beach
Flour + Water Pizzeria

Flour + Water continues to have long lines and a cult following. Explore their delicious menu of pizzas, including classics like margaritas and burrata; or try one of their specialties, like The Conrad, which has mushrooms, kale, taleggio, and fried garlic.
Tony's Pizza Napoletana

In 2007, Tony Gemignani became the first American to win the title of World Champion Pizza Maker in Naples, Italy—an award he has won 12 more times, in addition to being named champion of the World Pizza Games, a competition between the best pizza acrobats in the world (yes, it's a sport!). In addition to making Italian-style pizzas, such as his World Pizza Cup-winning Margherita pizza, Tony serves a wide variety of pizza styles, including the Eddie Muenster, which features fried kale, smoked bacon, Calabrian peppers, muenster cheese, honey and lemon.
Golden Boy Pizza

Golden Boy Pizza is a more underground alternative that caters to the night-time crowd. Square slices of focaccia are the base for numerous flavors, such as Golden Boy's famous clam and garlic pizza. This iconic pizzeria has been in North Beach since 1978. Look for a line down Green Street and you're sure to find it.

Tommaso's has been serving its wood-fired pizzas since 1935. In fact, they brought the first wood-fired brick kiln to the West Coast! While its specialty is a variety of generously topped pizzas, Tommaso's also serves incredible pastas, antipasto platters, and wines to accompany your meal.
